Jonathon Abernethy
Position: Butler for Ms. Blackston.
Demeanor: Hurried, snobbish, and abrupt.
Factions: Unknown.
Friends: Unknown, "Poodles."
Enemies: Door to door salesmen, and frequent callers.
Rumors: Filthy rich, (Gay???)
Heleneton’s most infamous butler, non-affectionately known as, "the man behind the door," to every would be salesman in the county. Jonathon is the ‘necessary’ evil in the protection of the Blackston Mansion, as well as, Ms. Blackston’s free time. He is seldom seen off of the Blackston Estate, except when running errands for her or when taking "Poodles" for his daily walk.
Jonathon is a distinguished man of his early 50’s, known for his immaculate formal style of dressing and his proper use of "the Queen’s English." A bachelor by choice, rumors circulate about him, his bank account, and the ‘odd’ hours he works. He is known to be seeking a groundskeeper to help manage the gardens.
Jonathon was in the employ of the Blackston family, in Romania, where he personally oversaw the disassembly, block by block, of the Blackston Mansion and its shipment to America. His loyalty to the estate is beyond reproach.

Father Stanislaw Armandek
Local priest for the St. Dominican’s Catholic Church. The "good father," as he is called by so many, is an exemplary example of a concerned and caring individual. He is known, by many, by his tireless devotion to the feeding and the sheltering of the downtrodden. In fact, the good father has led several successful fundraisers on their behalf.
On occasion, the good father has found himself in direct conflict with several of the town’s most influential people. Most, wisely, heed his words. Armandek is well known for his effective usage of the written medium.
Recent concern has arisen concerning the ‘good father’s’ health, especially after the loss of Sister Mary Margaret Marthers. Father Armandek is known to be an insomniac and it is believed that this disability is slowly becoming his undoing. In response, a new priest has arrived to St. Dominicans; it is believed that the good father will be quietly removed soon. |

Rhayne Ashton
Rhayne Ashton is researcher and published writer on matters of the occult. She holds degrees
in English and Parapsychology.
Rhayne, years ago, was the Head Mistress of the Ashton Covens. Her wicca name then, and still used some today, was Raven Ash.
Her time in hellington has also been quite long. The populace knows who she is, but to them, this Rhayne Ashton, may as well be the daughter of the woman from the late sixties.
In 1968, the covens fell under a series of attacks. Over 150 women were tortured, butchered, and murdered. Feberal investigators never put a name or face to the suspects guilty of these crimes. |

|
Eversa Blackston (Pronunciation: Eh - vur - suh)
Heleneton’s premiere socialite. Eversa is known widely for her contributions to the plights of the homeless. She is also known for her wide circle of powerful and influential friends. Eversa is said to be the last living descendant of several financially affluent families. Her knowledge of linguistics is said to be phenomenal.
Eversa is one of the most gossiped about persons in Heleneton. She is often times referred to as the “lonely lady on the hill.” Her list of would be suitors are long, but no man has yet to be able to take this vixen’s hand.
Eversa dwells in the expansive Blackston Mansion, which was reportedly purchased and brought over from Romania in the 1880’s. It sits at the apex of Hampton Hill in the upscale Renfor division of town. Its lavish gardens have won many state and county awards. Its ebony walls are rumored to hold many a strange tale.

Claire Bleut
Position: County Coroner, part-time mortician and beautician.
Demeanor: Cynical, tenacious, and strange.
Factions: Public Service
Friends: Sgt. Ray Potts and Katryna Kudrovski.
Enemies: Everett P. Goodie (???)
Rumors: Never going to get married.
Coroner Bleut has worked full time as the County’s Coroner for 25 years. She possesses an uncanny insight into finding the most trivial forensic evidence, on any body, in any condition. Her stomach for the gruesome has been well documented, especially, since her clean up of the Goodie murders in the 80’s. Goodie still writes to her.
Claire, or ‘Clee,’ as a few friends call her, is a workaholic that moonlights as a beautician and a mortician. She has a morbid outlook on life that is best called ‘strange.’ That outlook is known to have kept her circle of friends very small.
Clee has managed to pay off her Renfor’s house and restore a 1971 Fleetwood Hearse. She recently attempted to obtain a position with the State Office, but was denied due to the ‘suspected’ loss of a corpse that was transferred from the HPD. She is still dating Sgt. Ray Potts and it is doubtful that he will ever propose marriage.

Jason Bolex
Position: Writer for "The Heleneton Chronicle," & Senior Writer for "The Informer."
Demeanor: Polite, friendly, and awkward.
Factions: None
Friends: Thomas Hillard, Brianna Deeze, and Victoria Swift.
Enemies: Unknown.
Rumors: Likes Victoria Swift.
Bolex has been with the Heleneton Chronicle since he was 8, starting as a paperboy, working his way to a pressman, and then a writer. He can honestly say that he has worked in every position, excepting editor. He is Thomas Hillard’s ‘go to man,’ and possibly the next person in line for senior editor.
Bolex is well known for his awkward smile and unassuming demeanor, both of which have allowed him to venture into the odd places/situations that his writing demands. He is a known java junkie that frequents the Colombian Bean House, often in the company of Victoria Swift, or another woman.
3 Years ago, Bolex approached Hillard and Shaw with the idea of a monthly personality journal, "The Informer." The title would deal with the unique personalities that frequent Heleneton. The magazine has struggled financially and narrowly missed numerous cancellations. Recently, with two new advertisers, and a renegotiated printing contract, "The Informer" has started to turn profitable.

Kylie Cooper
Position: Graduate Student at Noel College, Part-time Secretary for Jonathon Marko.
Demeanor: Flirtatious, active, and attention seeking.
Factions: Academic.
Friends: Many.
Enemies: Many.
Rumors: Easy, a whore.
Kylie Cooper has recently finished her Master’s Degree in Business and has started her Doctorate Studies. She has found herself, due to limited financial aid, forced into taking a part-time secretary’s job in Mr. Marko’s office. Because of her work schedule, Kylie is no longer the captain of the Noel Wolvettes. Still, Kylie makes what practices she can and barely maintains a spot on the squad.
Always a flirt, Kylie is a heartbreaker. Rumor is those that don’t love her passionately, hate her with a passion. She dresses provocatively and frequently flashes cleavage to the men around her. Kylie’s jewelry box is full of engagement rings.
Kylie has slowly realized that she hasn’t the overall skill to make it in the fashion design business. She has also realized that most men think she is an idiot, thus she has decided to continue with a more realistic business goal, to become a business consultant. She daydreams of managing the Marko financial estate.

Sadeem Matajah Demiseen (SMD)
Demeanor: Manic, loud, and
Factions: Street.
Friends: Nickelsmart, Victoria Swift, and .
Enemies: Sgt. Ray Potts, and HPD.
Rumors: A drug dealer.
SMD has been #1 on the HPD’s hit list for the last 5 years. He has endured countless police lineups for any crime involving a black male. Still SMD manages to laugh at the ‘Man’s’ procedures, but he is very aware that the HPD is actively after him, and everything might not turn out to be on the ‘up and up.’
SMD is very proud of his Jamaican heritage and his Rastafarian beliefs. He is usually seen with a woman on his arm. He dates frequently, without regards to race, or hair color. SMD feels that people have unfairly labeled him a drug dealer, because he circles with the partying crowd, and his wallet is FAT.
SMD lives in a small neat house on the outskirts of Heleneton. He parks all 3 of his red Corvettes in the front yard, under a freakishly large oak tree. His trashcan overflows with empty Red Stripe bottles. He is a close friend of Nickelsmart.

|
Brianna Deeze (D's)
Brianna D’s, a Noel communications graduate, has used her stripping skills to slowly claw her way into talk radio. D’s openly states that there is nothing unnatural about her and her controversial talk shows. D’s has been known to showcase slumlords, drug addicts, and midget lesbian prostitutes in her quest for radio ratings. Her unorthodox behaviors have led to her dismissal from a major northern radio station.
D’s recent move to Heleneton was based solely on her desire to buy the local radio station and get herself back on the air. Upon buying the radio station, she threw a block party, got drunk, and attempted to incite a riot, and wound up serving 6 months in jail. She has recently been released.
D’s is now back on the radio, but she has been quieter of late. It is believed that she is close to bankruptcy, and that she cannot afford any more bad press.

tolerance for those who want to cause trouble.
Lorna, married to Thaddeus (Thad) Devlin, has found a new lease on life being married, and having had two children (twins).
Lorna is seen less behind the bar now, given more to management, but some nights she can still be seen preparing drinks for cusotmers. |

Factions: Dathlom Order.
Friends: Eversa Blackston, Sabrina Madison, and others.
Enemies: Father Stanislaw, Father Goodie, and Sgt. Ray Potts.
Rumors: Anorexic and asexual.
Suvette is the brash outspoken leader of the notorious Dathlom Order, a coven of witches that adhere to her every whim. Of the Order, little is known, excepting that significant influence can be brought to bear, with minimal effort, in record breaking time. It is thought that several prominent townsfolk are quietly supportive.
Suvette is an underweight woman in her late 30’s. She is known to be exhibitionistic, outspoken, and narcissistic. When clothed, she is commonly seen, publicly, wearing the long dark robes that denote her position of authority in the Order.
Considered a nuisance by most, and crazed by others, Suvette has been cited several times for disturbing the peace with her ‘so-called antics.’ Surprisingly, her charges are always dropped, much to the chagrin of Sgt. Potts. She has recently fell back into public favor with the re-emergence of the controversial Secret Carnival. She is known to hate Father Armandek, who she openly calls an alcoholic.

Adrianna lives a quiet life in the home of her nephew, where she oversees his business, …and his life. Currently, Adrianna has started making inquiries, with old Romanian families, to find Migael an ‘appropriate’ wife.
With the arrival of the Secret Festival, Adrianna has seen an upswing in potential business. However, knowing that she is in the ‘Bible belt,’ she has decided to keep her business small and low key, trying to avoid direct conflict with the ‘religious’ sector. Still, Adrianna has managed to pick up a few new ‘believers.’ Adrianna is Romanian and very proud of her heritage.

Edmund Haggard
As Heleneton’s local curio shopper owner, Edmund Haggard, has seen many a strange item pass in and out of his doors. He is known for ability to acquire odd pieces from even stranger places. Few questions are asked, if the price is right, and service always comes with a smile.
Edmund Haggard is a simple shop owner of English descent, with a warm smile and an open business approach. He is known by his abilities of getting the right people together, at the right place, and time to get the job done. Most people refer to Haggard as Heleneton’s only ‘true’ businessman.
“The Second Hand” has been in business for over 30 years. It has and odd reputation of having just what you are looking for, exactly when you need it. I.e. from the silver spoon that matches the vintage punch bowl to the grease fitting off the 35 Olds. It’s some where there, amid the clutter.

Davis Hague (Sheriff, Heleneton)
Sheriff Hague is the Chief of Police for Heleneton. He has held his position for 5 years and has been in the local police force for over 25 years. Hague plans to retire from his position with 35 years of service.
Hague is well loved by the locals. He is fair, honest, and willing to help almost anyone. His only true flaw is he is a sexist, and he does verbalize his views. This has put him in legal hot water twice. Most of the females in town have learned to be tolerant and/or overlook this behavior, as Hague has stopped and changed flat tires for many of them.
Hague has recently become frustrated with several unrelated events in the police department. He believes there is too much crime and odd occurrences for a town of this size. Rumor has it that he is trying to rally support in the city council for a major crackdown.

Ceylene Haythorne
A singer of extremely wide range in style and delivery. V.I.L.E. is her backup. Not much is known about Ceylene. She's released DVD concerts but doesn't travel and do any stage work for concerts.
She can be found playing in Shaded Temptations whenever the whim strikes her, something many locals appreciate, seeing this as staying with her roots and though being popular, doing what's right for her by her music...
Ceylene can seem to be an odd sort. Emotional, Tactile Sensation seems to be a major thing with her. She may seem flighty, but she is quite driven and directed when the situation demands, and though one would not expect it, severely decisive if pushed far enough.

Thomas Hillard
Thomas is currently the editor for the Heleneton Chronicle. Thomas has been in the newspaper business all his life, starting with delivering newspapers, then moved up to printing, then writing and onto editing in later years. At the height of his career, he and his brother Clint, who is now deceased, owned the Heleneton Chronicle.
Thomas is a hard worker, who leads by example. He is never too busy to lend a hand in any department that needs a hand. He has gone out of his way to learn every job in the building, and it is not unusual to see him working a critical job when someone calls out sick.
Thomas’ only major fault was his unswerving loyalty to his brother Clint. Thomas is only now beginning to realize that that loyalty has cost him greatly. It caused his family the loss of ownership of the Heleneton Chronicle to Bernstein Shaw III, a longstanding rival of Clint’s.

Taylor Hines
Wife of Eric Hines, and the mother of Tabatha Hines, Taylor has had great difficulty in adjusting to her relatively new marriage and her position as a mother. Taylor is believed to be visiting Fairview Psychiatric Hospital, primarily due to recent difficulties involving Wyman Willet and Everett P. Goodie. Exact details have not been released.
Many rumors abound about Taylor. Several accuse her of infidelity, undoubtedly much of this could/should be accredited to the provocative manner of her dress. Taylor has always had a reputation as a flirt, and this has gotten her into trouble more than once. It is believed that that very behavior might have started Everett P. Goodie on his last rampage.
Although she has been on an extended leave of absence, Taylor works at the Heleneton Municipal Building as a secretary for Bernstein Shaw III. She is known for her excellent typing skills, 85 wpm without errors. She is scheduled to return to work soon.

Lester Kirby ("Curby"):
As Heleneton’s long-standing street person, ‘Curby’ has seen much come and go through town. With bottle in hand, and an ‘upgraded’ shopping cart, from a long forgotten food market, ‘Curby’ patrols the back alleys looking for bottles, cans, or anything of worth to feed his expensive habit, Paslovich Vodka.
Many things have been said about ‘Curby.’ It has been said that the definition of despair can be found by just looking into his eyes. It has also been said that he will help a person when their need is great. However, none will argue that he needs a bath and a change of clothing!
‘Curby’ is not known to panhandle or accept money from ‘strangers,’ although he will accept money from those he seen on several occasions. ‘Curby’ has learned to stay in the shadows, and alleys, as it seems that Sgt. Potts has taken a ‘personal’ interest in his welfare.

Garret Adams Kramer
Garret came to Hellingotn in the late nineties. He is independently wealthy, and up until 2003, he was single. Married to Rose Tanner now with two children, it is not an exact thing what he does with his time or money, but he can be seen more at night than during the days. Shaded Temptations is a favorite spot for him, though this is only a recent occurrence.
Garret looks like someone who is constantly thinking, even when he is just sitting and relaxing. He's on the A-List in town for invites to the county's social scene given his bank accounts, but until recently, wasn't much of an attendee of "these types" of parties.
Events toward the end of 2005 have marked him with concern and worry. One of his long time friends (Nikki) attacked him, and Amber Thompson at Shaded Temptations. She then proceeded from there, killing two other freinds and their newborn child, and also threatened his wife and children. The whole fiasco ended with her killing her boyfriend and a police involved shooting ending her life at the Kramer residence.

Katryna Ivanova Kudrovski
As primary photographer for "The Heleneton Chronicle," Ms Kudrovski has enjoyed a certain freedom of movement that few outside of the law enforcement or press have known. With her press card, and low cut blouse, she generally sees what she wants to see, officially or not. Her motto, "they see, I see."
Ms Kudrovski is a close friend of Claire Bleut, with whom she works for as a part-time photographer for the County Coroner’s Office. During the summer, she teaches a photography course at Noel College. In her off time, she is often seen wandering the streets and back alleys taking pictures of whatever she thinks is newsworthy or ‘artsy.’
Ms Kudrovski is pursuing her photographic fetish and has recently purchased a storefront property along Main Street. It is being said that she is looking at opening a photographic developing shop. Most people wonder where she will get the time?

the FBI even has a sub-field office located in the town at all.

Lillian Lilly
Lilly sells flowers on the street to get my with what meager living she can. She's only one of a few of the "regular" homeless that don't seem to wind up disappearing.
Lilly is bound to comment on the most obvious of things, or simply to amble on about somthing she is thinking about at the time, with no thought toward the actual subject - assuming - in her eyes - anyone would truly want to speak to her at all... |

Sabrina Madison

Mr. Jonathon Antonius Marko
As the man who officially put Heleneton on the business map, Mr. Marko has been responsible for the much of the upswing in the local economy over the last 30 years. Mr. Marko has reopened the Hellstooth Mine, as well as, taken over the financially stagnant Heleneton Bank & Trust. Marko has used the bank; to force many needed loans into the local economy, only after certain key purchases had been made.
Mr. Marko is known to have business ties into almost all areas of the local economy. His assets have never been fully disclosed, but many feel that he actually controls over 50% of the local businesses. Shaw is his business protégé.
Mr. Marco is a personable man of obvious English descent. He speaks with a soft native accent. Most businessmen heed his words, as he has been credited to the ruining of many who didn’t. Mr. Marko is known to be actively dating Ms. Victoria Swift, the defense attorney.

Clovis McBetters
As custodian for the Heleneton Acres Cemetery, Clovis McBetters has a work ethic unmatched by many in the last half-century. Up at 4am, to be at the cemetery at 5 am, and then working until dark, 5 and ˝ days a week. Clovis is meticulous about his work, and HIS graveyard.
Clovis is known for his broken speech and his overall lack of education. However, he has gotten around his shortcomings by his candor, his honesty, and his family’s good name. Clovis is a laborer, and he realizes that he hasn’t the ‘smarts’ to try and do anything else. So, he has mastered what he could and made a name for himself in the process.
Clovis has asked the city to condemn several of the outlying abandoned graveyards. He wants the city to claim the land, so the graveyards can be properly maintained. So far his pleas have fallen on all but deaf ears, but things may change.

|
Silas McBetters
Silas is the head mechanic and the owner of McBetters’ Garage. Like his brother, Clovis, he is a master at his trade. Silas lacks much in the formal education department, but his understanding of automobile “techno-lingo” and maintenance is second to none.
McBetters’ Garage is known for it’s fair pricing and it’s excellent service. Complaints are taken personally by Silas, who works hard to keep the garage’s work beyond reproach. In an effort to advertise the garage, Silas has just purchased an old Chevy frame to fix up and put out on the local racing circuit.
Silas has spent all his life in Heleneton. He is known by all as an honest, hard working man. Silas is recognized for being somewhat controversial in his opinion of education. “Teach kids how to read, write, and add, then teach them a trade, and then put them to work.” Silas has run, unsuccessfully, for a position on the school board twice. |

|
Sebastian Nagimyumni
Easily the most feared man in Heleneton. Many claim he is above the law, simply because the law is afraid of him. That may or may not be true, but Sebastian is well known for his extremely violent ways.
Sebastian was a ‘tunnel rat’ in Vietnam, before he got big. He had an uncanny knack for survival, even against impossible odds. He did two tours of duty and then disappeared for a short time. When Sebastian re-emerged he had grown to 6’8” and 350 lbs. His disposition had completely changed almost to the point of him being a killing machine. His superiors took note and held him in service for another two tours of duty. Sebastian is the rumored byproduct of an early ‘failed’ combat drug study.
His massive mastiffs, nicknamed, by the locals as, “Rip” and “Maim” always accompany Sebastian. This Apache is thought to be mute, as no-one living has ever heard him speak.

"Nickelsmart" the Clown
As Heleneton’s only ‘true’ street performer, Nickelsmart has seen a lot of people come and go, especially the homeless. ‘Nickel,’ as he likes to be called, works the passerbys as they travel up and down Main Street. He has a quick sharp wit, and he is a poor choice to trade insults with, as many unfortunates have learned.
Nickelsmart is a master of improvisation, mime, and buffoonery. He has been performing for over 60 years, and rumor has it, over 90 years, but ‘Nickel’ isn’t telling. Everyone just knows ‘Nickel’ is old, really old.
‘Nickel’ is a favorite of all the local children, and their parents. He can often be found giving out free balloons or nickel sized tokens, which remind children to save their money. ‘Nickel’ is a true performer that has lost ‘himself’ over the years. He is never seen without makeup, and he claims he just evolved into a clown

Dr. Michael Pierce
Dr. Pierce is the Chief Psychiatric Doctor for the Fairview Psychiatric Hospital. He helped set up the Fairview Hospital 35 years ago when it was noted that Heleneton had an unusually high ratio of paranoid schizophrenics among the general population.
Dr. Pierce is a strong advocate for drug testing and the therapeutic usage of ECT. The new psychotropic medicine “Lobotramine” is his brainchild, and much of his professional reputation has been staked on its success. The field studies have all looked good, and despite one ‘accidental’ death, the new drug has been given the go ahead for marketing in select areas by the FDA.
Dr. Pierce is a known scholar in the field of psychiatry, and is the author of several books and articles dealing with the insane. He has recently given up his position on the State Board of Physicians and he says he is in semi-retirement. Dr. Pierce is a widower with chronic emphysema.

Ray Potts (Sgt., Heleneton Police Department)
Potts is a hard man to figure out by anyone’s standard. He is thought of as being lazy and abusive with his position by most of the citizens he is sworn to protect. Co-workers generally see him in a completely different light, he has been known to save more than one fellow officer’s life on several occasions. Potts is an expert marksman, with 7 confirmed kills to his credit in the line of duty.
Sgt Potts and Officer ‘Snoops’ have been recently assigned the positions of antiterrorist officers by the State Department. Potts is very pleased with his recent commendation and has every intention of fulfilling his duty to the best of his ability.
Potts runs the night shift at the Heleneton Police Department, he frequently cleans the streets of the destitute and gives them a tour of the city jail. Potts has been known to have problems with Ms. Swift. He is dating Claire Bleut.

Migael Rhu
Migael has just recently arrived back in Heleneton from a yearlong trip to Romania, Turkey, and undisclosed parts of Asia. Rhu is an advanced book collector and philanthropist, having traveled the globe many times in pursuit of his own, or a client’s, needs.
Rhu has just reopened his bookstore, the ‘Olde Tome.’ He credits the reopening mainly to the resurgence of interest into the occult, which has been generated by the recent Secret Carnival. Rhu is hoping that the renewed interest in the occult will allow him to sell several of his books and resume his travels, as he has recently become cash poor.
Rhu is a noted scribe, occultist, and linguist. He is also a dedicated businessman who believes in making a profit. As many of his books sell for tens of thousands of dollars, browsing in his shop is something that is not allowed. He is opened for viewing by appointment only.

Bernstein Shaw, III
Shaw is currently the mayor of Heleneton. He has made it known to many that he has intentions of staying in power for the next several years. He feels he has several issues in town to straighten out: zoning, taxes, and utilities. Shaw has stated when he gets those taken care of; it will be time for him to go.
Bernstein spent his early years working for Jonathon Marko, and although all business ties have been severed, they both remain close friends. Bernstein speaks positively about Marko, and he believes that the fundamental conservative business platform does work. I.e. if you take care of the businesses, the businesses will take care of you.
Shaw often finds himself at odds with many of the town’s liberal board members. However, they are slowly giving him ground, as his politics are gaining support and his business practices are working. Shaw is thought of as being ruthless, but he is passionate about his work.

Devlin Shepherd
Devlin Shepherd came to Heleneton/Hellington over
30 years ago. Some few know why he is in Hellington
and what brought him here, but while his time has been long
in Hellington, the general populace hasn't seemed to "notice". He still looks as he did when he came to town, though he has moved with the times so to speak.
In 2002, another agent has been assigned as his partner. That agent and he were engaged at the end of 2005. |

Justine B. Smithson
Judge Justine has been in serving in her legal role for over 10 years. She is known to all as the good judge who actually listens. She is regarded by many as being overly strict, but most that are ‘morally’ right, in their actions, have little to fear in her courtroom.
Judge Justine came from a poor underprivileged southern family. She has never forgotten her history, and she often speaks to teenagers at Heleneton High about it. She has dedicated her life to serving the public by making sure that those in power aren’t allowed to become too abusive.
A recent divorcee, Judge Justine is currently putting her two sons through college. She tries to keep her personal life quiet, as she is quite embarrassed by her recent separation. Judge Justine maintains a small modern house in the Renfors. She keeps a small circle of friends and she is well respected by the community.

Dan is one of the Mayor's bodyguards. He and his partner keep Bernstein Shaw safe from those who might wish him harm. Though "thuggish", they serve their purpose and genuinely like the Mayor. Their own likability is in question though. |

Victoria Swift
Heleneton’s defense attorney for the financially challenged. Victoria is an advocate for the fair treatment of all regardless of their social class. She has worked hard, since her arrival, trying to establish herself as a credible ‘independent’ defense lawyer. No one is really sure why she has decided to make Heleneton the starting point of her career, but many are glad.
Victoria is a close friend with Judge Justine Smithson, Eversa Blackston, and Jonathon Marko. She also has close ties to Bernstein Shaw, who she is dating. She lives in the upscale Renfor division of town and has just bought her first Mercedes. Ms. Swift keeps a small comfortable office located across from the local courthouse; she generally keeps banker’s hours when she is not in court. Victoria is known for doing much pro bono work.
When not in her office, Victoria can generally been seen uptown at the ‘Coffee Café’ talking with the locals or walking down Main Street window-shopping.

Amber Thompson
Amber was a student at Noel College and worked at Shaded Temptations
as a waitress to pay her bills and her tuition. For a time, she'd quite school and just worked and spent time she needed to do her own thing.
Amber enjoys the
crowded bar scene and keeping busy though. Amber is protective of Lorna and Thad, who seem distant at times to her now, but
Lorna and Thad both have been of great help to her with the waitressing job and other employment, and just being her friend.
After Amber stopped working and going to school, she was reportedly spending a lot of time with Garret and Rose Kramer and their friends. During this time, she was very absent from the bar scene at Shaded Temptations. Recent events have brought Amber back into Shaded Temptations, though now she's just going to school and visits the bar as a patron and not an employee.

Gloria Turner
Assistant librarian to Argus Vellum, Ms Turner has the quiet, non-stressful position that she has always longed for. She will often been seen either re-shelving books or quietly perusing a newer book in the library. If you are looking to find a reference, she can point you in the correct direction.
‘Sweet Pea,’ as her friends call her, is quiet and shy. She is rarely seen in public, but she has recently decided that she needs to start dating if she ever is to have hopes of getting married. Along these lines, it is rumored that she is trying to have friends set her up with Sheriff Hague, every feminist’s worst nightmare.
Ms. Turner is a speed reader and she frequently ‘audits’ books, unbeknownst to most, prior to their arrival into the library proper. She holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism, but has somehow never stopped reading long enough to write.

Argus Vellum
A quiet distinguished man of obvious mixed race. Argus has found acceptance in life in the hallowed halls of the Librarium, where with a book in hand, he quietly patrols his grounds. Argus patiently observes those that come to pay homage to the written knowledge that he safe keeps, and guides other accordingly.
Argus is a known collector, and reader, of books. His circle of friends, most notably, include Migael Rhu, Morgan Blaze, and Eversa Blackston, to which he serves as a private librarian for her collection.
Argus is currently continuing his education at Noel. He’s attempting to write his dissertation and obtain his Ph.D. in Library Sciences. When not in the Librarium, Argus is typically found downtown at a coffee shop with a book in hand. He is known to share tables with Jason Bolex, and if rumors are true, he just might be one of Bolex’s greatest reference tools.

Randolph Webber, (Dean - Noel College)
Randolph Webber has held his current position as Dean at Noel College for over 6 years. Before assuming his ‘authoritarian’ administrative duties, he held a tenure track in the business department. Where he was the department chair.
Dean Webber has tried to hold the college’s tuition down, but with administrative costs soaring, good professors demanding higher salaries, and state cutbacks, he has watched the school’s financial viability wane. He has recently, with much unpopularity, gone through each department making substantial staffing changes. He has cut Noel’s tenure tracks by 15%, cut it’s administrative staff by 35%, and raised it’s average wage by 12%. Public reactions to his job performance are mixed, but he has raised the college’s academic rating into the top third in the state.
Dean Webber is known as an avid football fan. He, with his wife Mary, have attended every home game in the last 32 years.

Wyman Willet
The last living member of the Willet family, and sole heir to the remaining ‘dirt’ farm. Wyman Willet is known for his survival skills and his unparalleled knowledge of the Boar’s Head Swamp that border’s his property. Willet is a farmer by trade and a hunter by necessity.
Wyman is considered strange by most standards. He’s a man of few words, and fewer syllables. He’s seldom seen, keeping a low profile, preferring to stay to himself. Many have thought this was due to his lack of formal education, others have said this is because of the war memories, but no one is really sure.
Few have known that Wyman is a distinguished service veteran. Willet served in the Vietnam War, receiving a Bronze Star Medal, 2 Purple Heart Medals, a Prisoner of War Medal, and a Vietnam Service Medal, among others. Wyman was known to say, “The only good soldier is a drafted soldier,” and he was drafted.
