Wild Talents

Wild talents are psychic "grantings" for those who cross the veil.
This is part of the "change" in crossing over the veil into Hellington.

Please select two wild talents. These are part of the change you experience in crossing the Veil.

Aura: Null

You have no aura. You can not be scryed. You may not have Aura: Null and Aura: Unreadable (limited to one or the other)


Aura: Sense

This is not true sight…this gives one the ability to sense a subjects overall emotional and bodily state psychically - it does not give one the ability to discern between good and evil, though Kirlian effect photographic coloring is how one may interpret what is seen.
Successful Discernment is required to understand what is seen.
The subject must be within your field of vision.
Range: Close proximity is best, though it can be performed from farther with penalities as imposed by the Game Moderator(s).


Aura: Unreadable

You have an aura, but it is unreadable - the coloring of your aura cycles and shifts to confuse those attempting to read you. You may not have Aura: Unreadable and Aura: Null (limited to one or the other)


Blending Shades

Can allow the user to fade into the background of where he is standing. If he moves, the spell is broken. Does not work well in bright light, or under direct observation.


Confusion Drain

You may force those casting spells nearby to expend 1 extra energy into their spells Casters will know you are the source of the energy drain. You expend as much essence as you drain in energy from others when doing this. If you are affecting a large group of people in close proximity, Mana will be expended for all of the energy you cost others in the use of this talent. If your mana is low, you will burn essence.
Range is your energy x 10 feet.


Divine Recovery

In addition to normal Healing, you recover as much damage based on your energy rating, per week


Divine Touch

You may heal one other person, up to your energy score per week, or split the points among several people up to your energy score.
Range - Touch Only


Essence Recovery

You reproduce essence at double the normal rate per week.


Essence Lock

Your Essence may never be drained below your END x 10. This also means that you may not expend essence below this total.


Hypnotic Trancer

You may attempt to put someone into a short dreamlike/meditative state making them unaware of their surroundings temporarily.
This may be attempted a number of times per week equal to you energy score. If you fail in your attempt, your power may affect you, placing you into a meditative trance.
Range: Touch or Close proximity is best. Can be attempted at Range with no penalty if the subject is within 3 yards. +1 mana per yard over the first three and limited to your field of vision.


Key Master

Allows person to open traditional, and some untraditional, locks with just a twist of his hand.
Range is touch of the object locked.


Lucid Visioner

The person with this unusual talent has the ability to see something that is currently happening. No identities are ever shared, but person will see the event as it transpires. If you happen to know or recognize those in the vision, the Game controller(s) will make you aware. You can not change these events becasue they are transpiring as you see them. No knowledge of those involved or why something is happening will be given unless you are familiar with a subject or subjects of the vision in question.
This is not an active power and its use can not be "chosen".


Magic Sense

Spell casters must learn the languages required to unlock the ancient formulae for spells. You can not detect magic upon an object, but you can detect the use of magic within a specific range in your presence.
Range is your discernment x 10 feet.


Psychometric Regression

"Retrocognition" - you have the ability to learn something about the history of a place or inanimate object, but not a person. You may see what happened in a place where people are seen, but the ability can not be used upon a person.
Range is based on mana expended:
1 mana = 1 day
2 mana = 1 week
3 mana = 1 month
4 mana = 1 year
5 mana = 1 decade
6 mana = 1 century
7 mana = 2 centuries
+1 mana per additional century...


Radiant Aspect

Doubles your charm with members of the opposite sex. For members of the same sex, there is no effect.
Range is your Charm rating in yards.


Safe Keeping

A small “pocket” (1’x1’x1’) that opens on any nonliving object anytime the possessor desires. anything nonliving, that fits, can be kept there safely, until recalled.


Shadow Form

Allows a person to enter the realm of shadows for a time, costing mana and essence. Person will become a shadow, and can move accordingly. This can be potentially dangerous, if you run into another shadow, or worse.


Sense Unseen

Acts a another "sense" and allows a person a base chance to discern that which is unseen possibly with bonuses to ones discernment as determined by the game moderator(s).


Shield: Physical

You can produce a mild energy barrier that provides a minimal protective field vs. physical attacks This may be used once at full power based on your energy score, or you may use it for 1 point of effect up to your "Energy" times per week.
This has no range, it is a self only power and can not be used to protect others - though one may place themselves in harms way for another of course.


Shield: Energy

You can produce a mild energy barrier that provides a minimal protective field vs. energy/magical attacks This may be used once at full power based on your energy score, or you may use it for 1 point of effect up to your "Energy" times per week.
This has no range. It is a self only power and can not be used to protect others - though one may place themselves in harms way for another of course.


Spirit Hound

You have the ability to track a given spirit (as many as your Energy / 2 (rounded down), with a reasonable chance of success. In order for this to be effective, it must be a spirit that you can actively sense. This does not give you the ability to track people, soulless undead, or animals. This does not give the power to move across any terrain, situations, or whatever, that you could not do ordinarily. i.e. You can’t track Mother Teresa’s spirit to heaven, unless you meet the movement requirements. This “hidden” natural ability happens rarely. (Game Controller Approval must be given)


Thought Share

You may send thoughts to others and receive them from those willing to communicate with you If you contact an unwilling subject and they do not want the "intrusion", you are cut off from them.
Range is your energy rating + your base discernment (true sight does not double discernment for this power) x 10 feet.


True Sight

True Sight gives one the ability to discern that which they see for what it truly is - those that have True sight double their discernment for determining psychic reality.
Range is your field of vision/hearing - overall senses.
